Following the resounding success of the workshops we organized in early 2025, we are now giving those who missed out the opportunity to participate in one of our olive tree pruning workshops.

Pruning an olive tree isn't just about cutting. It's about listening, watching, and understanding. Between late January and mid- to late March 2026, The Olive Whisperer will be organizing the "Prune Like a Pro" workshop at various locations near El Perello, Tortosa, L'Ampolla, L'Ametlla de Mar, Rasquera, and Mora d'Ebre: a one-day, practical, and in-depth introduction to healthy and well-considered olive tree pruning. Guided by local experts.

The workshop will be led by a local professional, trained by Thomas Llop—a name synonymous in the olive world with respectful, sustainable, and thoughtful pruning. What can you expect?

• Understand why you prune one branch and not another
• Insight into tree structure, light, air, and balance
• How pruning leads to healthy trees and a better harvest
• Common mistakes, what causes them, and how to avoid them
• When to prune during the season – and when absolutely not to
• Correct use and maintenance of pruning equipment

Theory and practice
Clear explanations alternate with effective pruning in the field, so that knowledge immediately becomes experience. Lunch is included, with time for questions, discussion, and further exploration. This day is for everyone who wants to maintain their olive trees with care and insight – beginner or advanced, hobbyist or landowner.
